Directorate of education , Assam has released the official notification of Centrally Sponsored ©National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS)" Scheme for the fiscal year 2020-21. NMMS Scholarships are awarded to the gifted or meritorious students studying as regular students in school IX, X, XI and XII during a Government, Government-aided and native body schools and whose parental income aren't quite Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum . Interested Students can apply online through National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in) and Madhyamic Assam Portal(www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in) NMMS Assam 2020 Overview 2020 : Name of scholarship: National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Nodal agency: Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), GOI Exam level: National Level Class: Class VIII (8th Standard) Application method: Online No of scholarship for Assam: 2411 Date of exam: 13th December 2020 Value of NMMS Assam 2020 Scholarship The amount of scholarship are going to be Rs. 12000/- once a year @ Rs. 1000 per month.

NMMS Assam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

1.Students of Class-VIII studying in Government, Local Body, and Govt. Aided are only eligible. 2.Minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent grade in Class VII examination is needed for appearing NMMS examination(5% less for SC/ST students) 3.Scholarships are awarded to the gifted or meritorious students whose parental income isn't quite Rs. 1,50,000/- once a year . 4.Students studying as regular students in school IX, X, XI and XII during a Government, Government-aided and native body schools for a maximum period of 4 years. 5.The Students should get minimum of 55% marks in school IX and XI and 60% in school X for continuance of scholarship (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in next higher classes. 

  Who can't apply for NMMS Scholarship Assam 2020 - Students studying privately schools too appear during this scholarship exam; but they will not be eligible for this scholarship. - the scholars studying in ©KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS© and ©JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS© aren't entitled to urge this scholarship. - Students studying in Residential Schools travel by the government Institutions, where facilities like boarding, lodging and education are provided and students studying privately schools also are not eligible for the scholarship under this scheme. 

  NMMS Scholarship, Assam 2020 Reservation © the entire number of scholarship for Assam State quota is 2411. © 15% Scholarship are going to be reserved for college kids belonging SC category. © 7.5% Scholarship are going to be reserved for college kids belonging ST category. © 4% for Physically Challenged Group of scholars . 

  NMMS Assam 2020 Exam Pattern - A written examination of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) are going to be persisted 13th December 2020 for the choice of candidates under NMMS Scholarship Scheme. - The question paper are going to be in both Assamese & English medium only. The OMR sheet are going to be in English medium. - Previous 2 years' question papers are available within the 'Bidyarthi' app at Google Play Store. - Children with disability are going to be given overtime , as applicable. - There are two papers: capacity Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) . Mental Ability Test (MAT): 90 multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and important thinking. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): 90 multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, science, social studies and arithmetic as taught in classes VII and VIII.

 NMMS Assam 2020 Selection Process For Selection The Following Conditions Are Applied : (i) the scholars must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with a minimum of 40 Markova in aggregate taken together for these two tests. (For the SC/ST students, 32% marks) (ii) The student must have scored at least 55% mark or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. (50% for SC/ST students).

  NMMS 2020 Examination Fee © General & OBC: Rs. 200/- © SC/ST: Rs. 180- © Differently Abled students: Rs. 175/- Mode of Payment: Applicants need to pay the examination fees through Debit/Credit card, internet banking during the submission of the appliance .

  NMMS Assam 2020 Admit Card E-admit Card for the candidates are going to be available online. The Students may download his/her admit card by putting own application number or name on or after 01/12/2020. Students can download their NNMS exam Admit Card through online from 'Bidyarthi' app or from official website www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in .

  NMMS Assam 2020 Examination Centres NMMS Examination are going to be held at 67 Nos. of centres across Assam including all the District Headquarters. Exam centers could also be increased or decreased depending upon the amount of candidates. The list of examination centres are shown below.

NMMS Assam 2020 form Fill Up Process The application process of National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) has been made ONLINE. Students need to download the ©Bidyarthi© app from the Play store of Android phone. Moreover, they will apply through Govt. of Assam official website www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in . Applicants need to pay the exam fee through Debit/Credit card, internet banking at the time of the appliance .
