Applications are invited for temporary appointment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Centre for Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati Off- Campus. The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one year and will be extended further on yearly basis based on performance maximum up to three years under a DST- SERB funded project titled “Inorganic Arsenic in food chain through irrigation water-soil-crop pathway: Risk assessment for sustainable agriculture in Brahmaputra floodplain” under STAR scheme. Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) No. of Post: 01 Essential Qualification: M. Sc. With minimum 60% marks in Environmental Science/ Soil Science/ Chemical Science/ Biotechnology or allied subjects. NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference. Candidates having experience of bioaccumulation studies, experimental design and manuscript writing will be preferred. Remuneration: i. For NET/ GATE qualified candidate : Rs. 31000.00 plus 16% HRA per month for a period of three years. ii. For non NET/GATE candidate: As per guidelines stipulated by DST-SERB.
