 ARBAS 2024 – Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme, Online Apply 2024

Anundoram Borooah was the first civil servant of Assam. The Government of Assam announced an award scheme in his name in 2005, which is known as the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme. In short, this scheme is widely known as the ARBAS scheme. Under the ARBAS scheme, the government tried to enhance education by creating competition among the students and students were also motivated due to this award scheme. In the history of Assam, this scheme is one of the most successful and corruption-free schemes which has inspired many students to perform better in their HSLC examinations.

Name Organization: Education (Secondary) Department

Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in the HSLC Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam are eligible to apply for this scheme.

Passing Year: The student has to qualify for the qualifying examination with the mentioned percentage in 2024.

Name of Board: Only those students who have passed their qualifying examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam are eligible to submit applications for this scheme.

Award Value: The government will transfer a specific amount instead of distributing laptops to all eligible students under this scheme. The government has decided to transfer Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) to the bank account of every eligible student who has excelled in the class 10th examination.
